Thinking of the Backcountry

Between working on computers all day at work, then most of the evening again at home (the laptop installs are pretty much done, finally) my thoughts have often strayed to getting outside and hiking.

But there’s no chance of that until this weekend at the earliest, so as a (poor) substitute I have updated my Henry Coe Backcountry page. It’s now got waypoints, tracks, and the AnalyzeTrack data for our 2006 and 2007 backpacking trips.

Getting out and hiking was one of the great aspects of being an instructor with the REI Outdoor School. I couldn’t choose to go wherever I felt like going, but I was going to be out hiking somewhere nice most every weekend.
