"Ferrari not concerned about 'nose hole' leak"
That headline was just one of a string of weird things throughout the last week or so. If I remember correctly, it all started when I spilled coffee on my back.
I should point out that I’ve never spilled coffee on my back before. Oh sure, I’ve spilled a lot of coffee over the years, but never on my back. It was absurd.
On another day, I was waiting at a stoplight behind a pickup. Eventually I noticed a little sticker on the back, that wasn’t quite what I had assumed it was at first glance:
As I looked at it, I thought “What the hell does that mean anyway? “MY CAT IS GAY”???” “I support equal rights for cats and felines of all sexual orientations and transgendered kittens of all ethnic groups”? I have no idea what it means. Whatever it was supposed to mean, I’m fairly certain it wasn’t as entertaining as some of the things I thought of while I dug my camera out.
There were other weirdnesses too. There’s this car at work (I forgot to take a picture, sorry) which is filled with trash and such, and the driver’s-side rear door looks like someone stabbed it with an icepick about a half-dozen times. It has these really odd little rusty holes in it, like maybe because some massively inebriated guy in his garage tried to screw a random twig to the door or something.
Some things were weird in a way I wasn’t sure I wanted to understand. Like for the last few weeks, my friend Mike has had a butter knife sitting on top of the toilet tank in his downstairs bathroom. The answer might be something that would leave me sobbing and shrieking uncontrollably, as I rocked back and forth in a fetal position…
On the non-weird news front, I’m on the recovery from a nasty flu or something, and I’ve been doing a little more geocaching of late. I’m very eager to hit some trails with the Jeep again, but I’ve not had that much free time! It sounds (and feels) like new front brake pads are in order as well.
I’ve not yet watched the new 4×4 show, but I have been enjoying That Mitchell and Webb Look on BBC America. It’s a bit inconsistent and some of the sketches tend to be repetitive, but overall it’s been good for the laughs.
