12 of 12, October 2010
This month’s 12 of 12 was shot entirely with my new iPhone 4. To add another twist, the photos were also edited and had effects applied solely from two iPhone apps, PS Express and CameraBag.
This won’t be a regular thing, although I expect iPhone photos to be a regular part – perhaps even the majority – of my future 12 of 12 galleries. The camera UI on the iPhone is quite nice, particularly with tap-to-focus. It’s all new to me and I’m having fun with it.
I also like the subtle and very efficient HDR mode, which doesn’t go way overboard into the trendy but vastly over-processed look so popular in many HDR photos.
As to the 12th itself… It was a very busy day and work, so I didn’t have much time for even thinking about 12 of 12. I don’t think my first photo was taken until mid-afternoon. I didn’t go anywhere or do anything interesting, which makes it a bit less interesting for me but on the positive side, it’s true to the original 12 of 12 concept.
I’ve only just recovered from the trauma of img_0053. Somehow in that photo you look EXACTLY like the troll that used to be in our work group, was not only incompetent but but also a bully, but left 3 months ago. SOMEHOW we’ve gotten him back ‘temporarily’ from Monday. Everyone’s on edge, ready to document every work exchanged and every situation. Because despite him being a bully, he puts in complaints to HR about everyone else bullying him and goes off of stress leave (which is actually great). Ugh. We were forced to hire him because of hiring freezes and no one else wanting him, and I knew he wouldn’t fit in and would cause trouble. Sometimes I hate being right!

October 14th, 2010 at 7:37 pm* White is definitely not a choice for anything in our office. We have the hand-me-down look going. Government’s great.
* Your desk is so windowy and spacious! Sigh.
* I like the ‘flows to bay’ disks! Nice than our parts of the footpath stating it flows to the Derwent.
* I can’t stand people who think rules don’t apply to them!!
* Scott would never want a fun phone. He has that old Nokia with the torch in it. He only sends 1 word SMS messages. He doesn’t understand how to use technology more advanced than his windy-up-watches. Luckily, I have enough techos in other parts of my life. 🙂
