Offroad and on the Trails

12 of 12, April 2010

Geez, I forgot to post my April 12 of 12 last week, and it was late even then.

This month I think I did a reasonable job of changing my 12 of 12 focus a bit. I have a tendency to focus on objects sometimes, particularly in what (to me) is a mundane setting. But in a 12 of 12, one of the ideas is that you really need to share these places with others who don’t see them every day, as you do. They’re looking with fresh eyes.

When I look at Snuva’s or Dan’s (of dan_n_stef) 12 of 12s, in Tasmania & South Korea respectively, I love to see the photos of everyday life someplace else. So I tried to have more of the content I often enjoyed, yet had perhaps overlooked to some degree in my own selections.

I always like your 12 of 12, whether object oriented or not. It was interesting looking up and around during your day for this one. My, what a fine collection of corks you have! And wow – a break room! We don’t even have a break room – won’t even mention the fruit. Some people are too spoiled. 😉 I’ve noticed that with the bubbles when driving in the rain too. The coloured lights and wires in your work must be mesmerising. Oooohhh – flashy lights!

Your friend’s cat looks huge. Sphinx huge. I imagine it needs to be in the centre of things because it wants to be petted, and your little human hands are so small it can barely feel the pats. So it needs all the humans to pet it at once.

Your Jeep looks rather lonely on the street, even under the warm sepia-sodium coloured street lamps. I think you should find a way to park it inside with you. Lottie has a beanbag in the living room and a beanbag next to my side of the bed. I would suggest the Jeep would appreciate a similar set-up.

(Sorry for the silly remarks; it’s my way of dealing with today.)

Apologies aren’t necessary, I look forward to even your silly remarks.

Yes, the cat is huge. Huge and FAT. He’s only a few years old so still in his prime, but he’s an only-cat, and an indoor one too. I’d like to weigh him, because I’d guess he’s 16 pounds or more.

The best part of the break room is that it contains sustenance in the form of chips, candy, soda, coffee, and bottled water. Oh and cup-o-noodles, bread, English muffins. And pop tarts. 🙂 Everything you need to get through the day, if you must.

Unfortunately, with the roof rack and such, the Jeep won’t fit in my garage, much less inside the house. But perhaps I could park it on something soft to sleep on, like a Prius. 🙂
