Oregon Trip 2009 – Part the Fourth

Well, since it appears that Snuva is back 😀 I could finally post the final Oregon trip gallery in good conscience… So I did!

Thanks for bearing with me.

    Another fantastic gallery!

I think one of my favourite photos is the first – seeing a GPSr and the road through a windscreen is just such a familiar view it really places me into the photo. But that could just be me. 😉

I hate to say it, but I think I recognised that look on Allison’s face. I get it from Scott all the time; it’s the ‘can’t I just eat without you having to photograph my food face’. I liked the ‘El Toro’ drawing.

I noted something that would have gotten Scott’s attention if we were dringing through the street scene in Grants Pass: the cafe on the left has AND PIES on the sign. We would have had to stopp for him.

I love the photos of the trail through the woods. My kinda place. And the falls are fantastic! Would be great in the summer. The photo looking up at the hex patterns is fantastic, but does remind you that the patterns are there because tonnes of rock have fallen – right about where you would have been standing.

Um. . .you guys get interesting tail feathers on your robins.

Ha ha! You may be right about that look on her face… I’m a bit of a sucker for pies as well, so I’m in agreement with Scott. Especially if key lime or banana cream pie is involved… And I still wonder what was up with the crazy rocket bird… And oddly enough, I do seem to have a lot of photos with the GPS on the dash, so obviously I identify with those shots as well.

    Thanks for the comments!

Several years ago we made a 500 mile bicycle tour taking in part of the Oregon coast. We still vividly remember the tunnels on 101. I should mention that there were logging trucks on the road the day we rode through them. (BTW, img_9165 is an image of a tunnel, not a bridge 🙂

  4. David Says:

Wow, I can’t believe I wrote “bridge”… Well, actually I can. 🙂 Dumb mistakes happen when I rush out a post, especially at night. I shudder to think of how many typos I have floating around too, since my HTML editor doesn’t have a spellchecker.

Logging trucks would be pretty scary while bicycling through those brid, er, tunnels!
