Before working with the exported file from GSAK, the current waypoints in my GPS need to be addressed. These are uploaded to my computer via MapSource, and saved. In addition to the waypoints, my tracks and any routes are also saved for future reference.

Once this is uploaded and saved, all tracks, routes, and waypoints are deleted from the GPS.
