The charming little cafe/store next to the River Inn. The restaurant at the inn is our usual lunch stop when in the area. The food is pricey and the service is usually not as good as you might expect, but the food is good and the deck seating is wonderful.

Gas is available here or at nearby stations, and because of the remote location the prices ran from about $1.20 to $1.50 higher per gallon than in San Jose. While filling up here, the pain of those high prices was lessened by a nice chat with the attendant who resides part time in Darwin.
