The next chore was in the Mischief category. For the past several weeks, when Allison isn't paying attention or is off somewhere else, I take her little stuffed "Skippyjon Jones" and have been putting him up in high places: on shelves, picture frames, on top of cabinets, and hanging by a string from ceiling vents and the kitchen skylight. Allison eventually realizes that Skippito isn't where he's supposed to be, announces that "Skippito is up!" and goes on the hunt, squealing with amusement when she finds his new spot.
Last weekend, Allison got a small "sea monkey" (shrimp) tank. Well, it seemed to me that Skippito, as a proper cat, would love to eat some shrimp, so instead of appearing in high places he's taken up harassing the hatching shrimp. He's climbed on their tank, sat next to it with a fork, and one time even set the tank on a platter with chopsticks and a packet of soy sauce.
On this day, Skippito was getting a better look at his potential lunch using Allison's magnifying glass.
