A few days earlier, I tried out clip-on pedals and shoes on my mountain bike, using a set that Antony loaned me. Normally I would just go and buy a set to try but my negative budget pretty much rules that out.

Using my Park pedal wrech (background upper right) for like the second time in the last decade I easily swapped the pedals. This gave me the opportunity to attend to the screws on my normal pedals, which are forever loosening and backing out, as you can see from this photo. Time for Loctite!
