My third trip to Maui had to include my third visit to the summit of Haleakala. It had been nearly 18 years since I was last here, but it's forever burned into my psyche along with places like Yosemite and Crater Lake. This was the first time I'd been to the Leleiwi Overlook point. The weather was fine and the clouds topped out around 7500', well below Healakala's 10k peak.
