New Almaden is home to the Hacienda parking area for Almaden Quicksilver county park, one of my favorite local parks. I've hiked every foot of the 30+ miles of trails here, usually many times over. The park has diverse terrain and trails, from narrow single tracks to fire roads, and has some great old structures and mine remnants.
