Because the huge winter snowstorms had close many of the main roads to the coast - including our usual route from Salem to Lincoln City - we were obliged to take Hwy 20 across to Newport, and head up the coast from there. There was snow nearly the entire length of Hwy. 20 from I-5 to Newport, right down to sea level in places, until we got within about 10 miles of Newport.
Here we cross another type of bridge I like, an art deco Conde McCullough bridge, this one over Yaquina Bay.
