Oout of the Jeep and on our feet for the long uphill to Mississippi Lake. It took some time - and restwalking - to acclimate to our heavy packs and there's no gentle warmup on the trail to help out. Still, we ascended quickly and were soon seeing those memorable Coe backcountry views.
