The steep southern slope to the top of El Toro. A local Boy Scout Troop had attached ropes along the trail there, and cut improvised steps into the trail. By the time we got there though, the ropes had been removed and the steps were about 60% eroded away by the large group of visitors earlier that morning. We'd brough a trekking pole each though, so we had no trouble on the way up.
