Humorously, the family initially placed the marker in the wrong spot, because they were in a hurry. When the excited Portugese ranch foreman raced up saying "You got da wrong place! Dis not da place!" the crane was again called into action to pull the marker out of the still-wet bed of cement. It was then moved a mile and a half to its present, correct location.
