To check out my new cheapo HIDs that came with the INTI rack, I drove up to the Guadalupe Reservoir area south of where I live in San Jose. I know the area and roads very well so I was able to pick some spots to check out the "new" lights.

I was pretty impressed by the brightness and width of the area lit by the HIDs. They didn't have the reach I was expecting though, but part of that is going to come down to getting them adjusted to where I want them, I think. They're a "Euro beam" pattern so they'll never be quite like pencil/spot beams, but I suspect I can get more reach dialed in... Time will tell.

The photos are un-edited and all taken with the same (manual) settings on my camera for consistency.
