Bryon has left early in an attempt to get to the transmission shop in Laughlin as quickly as possible. Antony and I head out on our own a little later, keeping our eyes open but hoping not so see Bryon's Sportsmobile on the side of the trail somewhere.

This part of the road is wide & graded but we quickly realize that the Mojave Road proper is now just to the north, so we swing up that way and get back on track.
