In December 2007, seventeen members of the Geocachers of the Bay Area in ten vehicles gathered at the BLM's Knoxville offroad area. The vast majority of us had never been there before. As the trip organizer, I had found the BLM's map and regs online, and a few picture galleries from other offroaders, but otherwise information on the area was pretty scarce. None of my offroad guidebooks had any information about it at all.

Luckily, we had a lot of geocaches to help guide us through the area, along the main trails. Between that, the map, and the couple that had been there before, we avoided getting lost and made our way through the park just fine. The geocaches and offroading served as common ground for our diverse group, and we all had a fun day...

There's more information in my blog, and in the gallery photo captions as usual.

It seemed that everyone on this trip was carrying around a camera. That worked out well for me because several people have graciously allowed me to round out my gallery with some of their photos. My thanks to Dave Knapp, Tom McFall, Chris Green, Phil Siemens, and Peri Riggins.
