At the south end of the four-way intersection, our road finally begins. South Coast Road is a graded dirt road that winds through the coastal ridges and woods for about 26 miles before reaching a gate at Fort Hunter Ligget. There are various spur roads, overlooks, campsites, and other interesting things along the way.
