So we opted for "Kountry Kitchen" whose buffet seemed to attract a lot of retirees. We opted to order off the menu, and I chose this wonder called the "Kounty Layer" which is a half-inch thick piece of sourdough topped with cheese, eggs, and sausage gravy. Your arteries will beg for mercy!

This was our first dose of what I sometimes call "red state cuisine." It's like the official confirmation that we're on a long road trip.
