To me, "Black Friday" is definitely time to stay far away from shopping centers, stores, and crowds of people. So we went to Alamden Quicksilver for a 5-mile hike and picnic to help burn off some of those Thanksgiving meal calories.

My plan was simple: park a the Wood Road parking lot, hike to the San Cristobal mineshaft, reverse course and stop at Bull Run for lunch, then hike back to the parking lot.
