I'd never heard of this place until I spotted it in Art Bernstein's Oregon Byways book. It was about a half hour out of our way, but that was close enough to make the detour there work as long as we got up early that morning.
It turned out to be a pleasant drive. At the park, we enjoyed the short hikes through the woods, and the waterfalls were both worth seeing. I can recommend a visit to this little-known backroad destination.
